3 lbs 8.8 oz is the new weight for Sam today!! The Dr. also decided to try Sam on bottle feedings for every feeding for a couple of days to see how he does. We were told that this is just a trial, like a lot of things with preemies, we are going to try it - no promises. So, we are praying that Sam takes his bottles with his heartrate & oxygen numbers staying stable and that he doesn't wear himself out drinking. He has to master the sucking, breathing, and swallowing that has to take place to drink from a bottle. As Sam is getting bigger and stronger, he is being given more tasks to prove his strength. We are proud of our little boy.
