It was so good to see little Sam off of the ventilator. He had a really good day and night. He is now eating some. They try to feed every 3 hours but his belly isn't ready just yet for feedings that often. They are going to try every 6 hours and see if he can handle that for now. He weighed a whopping 3 lbs last night!! The doctor had not rounded when I called for an update this morning, so we are waiting to see if he has more fluid or if he's really liking the milk. :) Hopefully they will be weaning him off of the CPAP over the next day or so and he will just have O2 through his nose. They had turned the light off of him yesterday, but he still had his little sunglasses on. I can't wait to see his little eyes. They try to give him a pacifer when they feed so that he will begin relating the sucking motion with eating. His pacifier is so tiny. I was just thinking this morning how he is growing a little everyday, just like me, growing everyday in Christ. I have so much to praise HIM for.
