What an amazing day!!! Sam made a lot of progress today. They took the CPAP off and he's on oxygen in the nose and they also took the umbilical catheter out. He is now turned over on his belly. He is soooooo precious. Jeff came back to Montgomery tonight and we were able to HOLD SAM FOR THE FIRST TIME! It was an awesome feeling. He was so light and little. He smiled a couple of times, so we think. :) We just love him so much.

We are so proud for you both. We love you all so much and have been in constant prayer for you. This brings me to tears to see how our Great God works and how much He loves us. This is such a God thing and no one can ever prove it otherwise.
Isn't God so awesome to work out all the little details for us before we ever are aware of what is going to happen!!
I'm so thankful Heather posted this address on her FB acct and I found it. I will forward it to Kristi and Chad and Brooke. Our whole church has been praying so earnestly for you all.
We serve a risen Saviour that cares so much about our wants and needs. Please continue to update, as I know you will, we will follow it closely. Kristi and I both had gifts for little Sam. We couldn't make it to the shower but will get them to you once you return home. Enjoy your precious blessing!!
We love you bunches

I didn't include it in the other comment, I was so overwhelmed by all the pics and the wonderful news.
Our little ones have been praying every day for you all. It is so precious to hear a 7,8,10,4 yr old pray for Mrs Lindsey and baby Sam. Paetyn has asked me every day how you are doing. She wants an update. You have been the topic of discussion on many occasions since we heard of you being sent to Mont.
Paetyn asked her class at school (2nd graders) to pray. They have been and the other morning on the way to school she asked again how you were and when I told her the latest, she said she needed to let her teacher know so they could praise for answered prayer and know you were better.
All of this has brought back so many memories of Kristi and how our awesome God is so in control!!
As I said before, it is mind boggeling to sit down and actually try to think of all the tiny details that He started setting in place way before March 31 and in our case, prior to Jan 08.
He is so good to us and we trust Him to lead you the rest of the way! I know He will, I have every reason to believe He is in control of all of this and in His time, you will be home with your precious baby. We can't wait to see you all. Maybe the girls and I will make a trip up to Montgomery one day. Please know we are praying for you daily.

Lindsey,
What a WONDERFUL photo to see this morning, YOU holding your precious Sam. You and Sam have been in my prayers constantly, and it is so great to see your daily updates of God's amazing work! Sam has a super strong mommy who is such an inspiration to me. I'm so glad you are doing better and are able to be there to love and support your baby boy as he continues to grow and strengthen every day. I can't wait to meet him!

Hey nephew, I see you have a website already. I'm not even going to ask how you managed to pull that one off. I got you a football last night. I should have it to you on Saturday and we can probably have you throwing a tight spiral by Saturday evening. I'm thinking you will be a Tom Brady type, but I won't complain if you favor Farve.

In any case, keep drinking your milk and get your rest...we need you in prime condition when they release you. We love you.

GOD IS SO GOOD!!!! I know the incredible feeling of holding your first born son for the first time, but I CANNOT IMAGINE how good it felt to hold that precious little SAM. I stand in awe of our Savior and how He is showing Himself in such a humble way through a tiny baby. It is such an honor to witness a couple and now a precious family that is in the absolute CENTER of God's will. He chose you for "such a time as this" to bring glory to Himself. I love you ALL sooo much!
